The Very Best of Cher is the eighth compilation album by American vocaliser-actress Cher, released on April 1, 2003. The anthology includes many of Cher'southward well-nigh popular songs, such as "If I Could Plough Dorsum Fourth dimension", "Believe", "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves" and "Take Me Home". It debuted at number seven on the Billboard 200 albums chart and afterwards reached number iv on the issue date of May 17.[3] [iv] As of November 2011, the album has sold two.8 million copies in the U.s.a..[v]

The Very All-time of Cher was released past Warner Bros. Records, MCA, and Geffen Records. The original US edition features 21 tracks, while the diverse later editions typically characteristic more than songs or dissimilar selections.[half-dozen]

The album originally coincided with the Living Proof: The Cheerio Tour. The album cover picture is likewise seen on the DVD Cher: The Farewell Tour Live in Miami and was originally planned to be the DVD cover of The Very Best of Cher: The Video Hits Collection likewise, but was changed at the last infinitesimal.
